The Art of Tap, Oct-Nov 2021

“The Art of Tap” is a multimedia design project concept. It is an interactive gallery experience that aims to introduce people to tap dancing and show them why the dance form is so fun. The viewer enters the room, selects a pair of tap shoes according to their shoe size, and makes their way around the room to each poster. At each "station" they are able to read the poster, scan the QR code on their phone, and view an instructional video showing them how to do the tap step. They are then able to try the step on their own and see their feet move in the mirror located below the poster. After making their way around the whole exhibit, they will then select their favorite step, take a video of themselves doing it, and submit it to the form linked to the QR code on the introduction poster. After leaving the exhibit, people are able to view themselves on the website doing the tap step along with many other people that have also participated in the experience.
